A one-of-a-kind design that takes a long time and the spirit of the craftsman to complete the technique of creating a creative surface. Ultima Thule is the northern island of legend. It is said that the ancient Greeks believed that the island was closed by ice and snow that never sinks the sun, was the end of the world. The majority of the great designer Tapio Vircara careers piled in Iittala and is a versatile artist who has created nearly 400 pieces in his relationship with Iittala for over 40 years. Among them, the most famous work was Ultima Thule inspired by the melting ice in Lapland. Thousands of hours spent to complete the blowing technique necessary to create this creative surface.
