Works well for replacement of damaged or worn out gas lifts on tall task chairs, drafting chairs, stools, etc. While this tall gas cylinder will fit the majority of these types of chairs and stools, it will not fit all. ***Always remove gas cylinders with care and never heat or puncture. Please measure to be sure of the size you need as this cylinder is at least 4" taller at the lowest point than many desk-height cylinders. Minimal differences in height measurements should not alter performance of lift when installed in chair.
